Senator Feltes Endorsed by Grassroots and Legislative Energy and Environmental Leaders

Concord, NH — Today, Senator Feltes was endorsed by grassroots and legislative energy and environmental leaders. The Chair of the House Science, Technology, and Energy Committee Representative Bob Backus, environmental activist Alice Chamberlin, and business leader Gary Hirshberg all praised Senator Feltes’s ability to lead on clean energy and environmental legislation. As Governor Sununu seeks a rare third term, he’ll need to answer for his vetoes of nine pieces of clean energy legislation. In announcing their support for Senator Feltes, Representative Backus, Alice Chamberlin, and Gary Hirshberg released the following statements:

“No one has done more at the State House on clean energy legislation than Senator Feltes,” said Representative Backus. “His leadership and vision will lead New Hampshire into a new era of combating our climate crisis.”

“I’m proud to support Senator Feltes in his campaign for Governor,” said Alice Chamberlin. “At the State House, Dan’s been a leader in protecting our natural resources, our open spaces, and conserving New Hampshire’s natural beauty.”

“Dan’s an innovative leader in combating climate change,” said Gary Hirshberg. “He understands that it’s an urgent crisis, but also has the vision to see the great potential for a 21st century economy that is driven by clean energy jobs and investments. I’m thrilled to support Dan for Governor.”

“I’m honored to have the support of so many clean energy and environmental leaders. The climate crisis requires immediate action and Governor Sununu remains the single roadblock to making investments in our clean energy future. If we want to protect our environment and make meaningful investments in clean energy we need to beat Chris Sununu,” said Senator Dan Feltes.
